Overview
The LinkedIn Public Company Scraper automation allows you to gather publicly available information on companies listed on LinkedIn, including company details, size, location, and industry. This tool is ideal for sales teams, recruiters, and market analysts who need organized company data for lead generation, competitive analysis, or business research. Follow this guide to configure the automation, with options to export data to Google Sheets or CSV for efficient data handling and sharing.
Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. In the Automation Store, type LinkedIn Public Company Scraper in the search bar to quickly find the tool.
Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu
To enable TexAu to access LinkedIn company data, connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu offers two secure connection options:
- Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email, allowing you to connect without entering cookies manually.
- Add Account: Connects directly using TexAu’s built-in browser extension, providing a straightforward setup.
Tip: Magic Link offers a quick, secure way to log in without the need for manual cookie handling.
Step 3: Select Your Input Source
With LinkedIn connected, specify the input source to define the company profiles you want to scrape. TexAu allows you to use a single LinkedIn Company URL or upload a list of multiple URLs via Google Sheets or CSV.
- Single Company URL: To scrape data from a single company, enter the LinkedIn Company URL. This option is useful for focusing on one company in detail, for competitive analysis or targeted outreach.
- Google Sheet or CSV for Multiple Companies: For extracting data on multiple companies, use a Google Sheet or CSV file. List each LinkedIn Company URL in a separate row, then paste the Google Sheet URL or upload the CSV file in TexAu. This setup is ideal for building a broad company dataset in one run.
- Filtering Options: Use filters, such as location or industry, to focus on specific types of companies that meet your business needs. This helps refine your results and ensure you capture relevant data.
Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
To run the automation at specific times, use TexAu’s scheduling feature. Click Schedule to set the date and time, or configure a Recurrence Frequency for automatic repetition:
- At Regular Intervals (e.g., every day or every 6 hours)
- Once
- Every Day
- On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., Mondays and Thursdays)
- On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 5th and 20th)
- On Specific Dates (e.g., March 1)
Scheduling the automation is beneficial if you regularly track updates for a list of companies, keeping your records up to date.
Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
To simulate natural browsing behavior and prevent LinkedIn from flagging activity, set an Iteration Delay to control the interval between each company profile extraction. Configure Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to introduce variability, helping to avoid detection. Adjust this delay in seconds, minutes, hours, or days, based on your needs.
Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
In Output Mode, select how you want to save and organize the extracted company data. Exporting to Google Sheets or CSV file ensures easy management and sharing.
- Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file as your output destination. Link your Google account if you select Google Sheets, enabling a direct export to Google Drive.
- Output Management:
- Append (Default): Adds each new dataset to the existing file, creating a comprehensive list of company profiles.
- Split: Each run generates a new file, useful if you want to separate data by extraction sessions.
- Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest extraction, ideal for tracking only current company information.
- Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to remove duplicate entries, ensuring your data stays organized and accurate.
Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets is ideal for collaborative projects, allowing your team to access data in real time.
Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once all configurations are set, click Run to start the automation. Choose between Cloud or Desktop mode:
- Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, ideal for a hands-free operation.
- Desktop: Run locally on your device if you prefer using your own IP address, which may help simulate manual activity.
Tip: Running automations on Desktop mode saves cloud runtime costs and provides more control over task execution.
Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
Once the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the extracted company data. Locate the LinkedIn Public Company Scraper automation and click See Data to view or download the results.
The LinkedIn Public Company Scraper automation makes it easy to gather company information from LinkedIn, helping sales, recruiting, and research teams build organized datasets for leads, analysis, and market insights. With scheduling, bulk input, and export to Google Sheets or CSV, this tool streamlines the process of collecting actionable company data for strategic decision-making.
