    Choose Your Output Mode

Configuring the output mode in TexAu lets you decide how your extracted data is stored and managed. With options to append new results, split them into multiple files, or overwrite previous data, you can keep your records organized and efficiently track changes as needed.

    Choose Your Output Mode

To configure how your extracted data is saved:

    1. Go to the Automation Settings
Open the TexAu dashboard and navigate to the automation settings for your selected automation.
      step 1

    2. Choose an Output Mode

In the settings panel, find the section labeled "Output Mode." Click the dropdown menu to view the options.
Choose one of the following modes based on how you want TexAu to handle your extracted data:

      • Append (Default): Adds new results to the end of the existing data and merges them into a single CSV file.
Use this mode when you want a cumulative record of all results in one file.
      • Split: Creates a new CSV file for each data extraction.
Select this option when you need separate files for each extraction run.
      • Overwrite: Replaces previous extraction data with new results in a single CSV file.
Ideal for tracking updates or changes to the same source over time.
        step2
    3. Enable or Disable “Deduplicate”
By default, the “Deduplicate” option is enabled to remove duplicate rows between each extraction run automatically. You can turn this feature off if you prefer to keep all data as-is.
      step3

    4. Save Your Changes
After selecting your preferred output mode and adjusting the deduplication setting, click “Save” to apply the changes.

    Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your output settings, try these solutions:

    • Problem: Duplicate rows still appear after enabling deduplication.
Solution: Check if the deduplication setting was saved correctly. Navigate back to the automation settings and verify that the “Deduplicate” toggle is enabled.
    • Problem: The selected output mode is not applying.
Solution: Ensure that you clicked “Save” after choosing the output mode. If the issue persists, refresh your dashboard and try again.
    • Problem: CSV files are not generating as expected.
Solution: Confirm that the correct output mode is selected in the dropdown menu and verify that your automation has run successfully.
