Managing Workspaces and Users in TexAu
TexAu allows you to create and manage multiple workspaces to organize automations, users, and resources effectively. Workspaces are especially useful for separating projects, teams, or clients. The number of workspaces you can create depends on your subscription plan.
How to Create a New Workspace
1. Navigate to the Workspace Section
- Log in to your TexAu dashboard and select Workspace from the left sidebar.
- Here, you can view your current workspace and switch between them.
2. Create a New Workspace
- Click the + New Workspace button at the top-right corner of the screen.
- Enter the following details:
- Workspace Name: A unique name for the workspace (e.g., "Marketing Team" or "Client A").
- Workspace Description (Optional): Provide a brief description for the workspace.
- Confirm by clicking Create Workspace.
3. Access and Manage Workspaces
- Switch between workspaces using the dropdown menu at the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Each workspace operates independently with its own set of automations, data, and users.
4. Workspace Limits
- The number of workspaces you can create is determined by your TexAu plan. Check your subscription details to know your limit.
Adding and Managing Users in TexAu Workspace
Once a workspace is created, you can invite and manage users to collaborate effectively. To add a new user to your workspace, the user must already have a TexAu account.
How to Add a New User to Your Workspace
1. Navigate to the Users Section
- Log in to your TexAu dashboard and go to the Workspace tab on the left sidebar.
- Select Users to view the current members and manage user invitations.
2. Add a New User
- Click the + New User button at the top-right corner of the screen.
- A new row will appear under the Members section.
3. Enter User Details
- Fill in the following fields:
- Name: Enter the user’s name (e.g., "John Doe").
- Email: Enter the email associated with the user’s TexAu account.
Note: If the user does not have a TexAu account, they will not be added, and you will see an error message: "Error Occurred! User is not found."
4. Assign a Role
- Choose a role for the user from the dropdown menu:
- Owner: Full access to all workspace settings and functionalities.
- Admin: Manage users, settings, and workspace resources.
- Editor: Create and edit automations but limited access to settings.
- Viewer: View results and automations without editing permissions.
5. Send Invitation
- Once the details are filled, click Add to send an invitation.
- The user will receive an invitation to join your workspace. Pending invitations can be tracked under the Pending Invitation tab.
How to Manage Existing Users
- View all workspace members under the Members tab.
- Use the dropdown menu in the Role column to update user roles.
- Remove users by clicking the delete icon next to their details.
Workspace and User Limits
- The total number of workspaces and users you can manage depends on your subscription plan.
- Ensure your plan allows for additional users before attempting to add new members.
Troubleshooting
- If a user cannot be added, ensure:
- They already have a TexAu account.
- The email entered is correct.
- You haven’t exceeded the user limit of your plan.
