Step 3: Choose Cloud or Desktop Automation
Select your preferred execution mode for the automation:
- Cloud: Run the automation on TexAu’s servers for quick, hands-free operation.
- Desktop: Run the automation on your local device using your IP address to simulate manual posting.
Tip: Running the automation in Desktop mode saves cloud runtime credits and provides more control over execution.
Step 4: Select Your Input Source
Choose how to specify the Reddit posts you want to extract. TexAu provides the following input options:
- Enter Keywords or Subreddits Manually: Use this option for quick searches. Enter the keyword(s) or subreddit name(s) in the input field.
- Google Sheets: Ideal for bulk operations. Create a Google Sheet with a list of keywords or subreddits in separate rows. Link your Google account to enable TexAu to access the sheet.
- CSV File: For large-scale searches, upload a CSV file containing keywords or subreddit names. This is useful for processing extensive lists efficiently.
Tip: Use Google Sheets or CSV for managing and running multiple searches in one go.
Step 5: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
To automate searches periodically, configure the Schedule settings. Click Schedule and select a start date, time, or recurrence frequency:
- None
- At Regular Intervals (e.g., every 12 hours)
- Once
- Every Day
- On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Monday)
- On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 5th and 20th)
- On Specific Dates (e.g., December 15)
Tip: Scheduling is useful for tracking ongoing discussions or monitoring trends consistently over time.
Step 6: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
To maintain account safety and simulate natural behavior, configure an Iteration Delay. Set Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to randomize the time between each search action. This helps avoid detection or triggering restrictions from Reddit.
Tip: Use delays of a few seconds or minutes to mimic natural user activity.
Step 7: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
Select how you want to save and organize the extracted Reddit post data:
- Export Options: Choose between Google Sheets or CSV. If using Google Sheets, link your Google account to enable seamless export to Google Drive.
- Output Management:
- Append: Adds new data to the end of an existing file, creating a cumulative record.
- Split: Creates a new file for each run, separating data by session.
- Overwrite: Replaces the previous file with the latest data, ideal for tracking current discussions.
- Deduplicate: Enable this option to automatically remove duplicate entries and keep your dataset clean.
Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets ensures real-time collaboration and easier data sharing with teams.
Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
Once the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to view your extracted data. Locate the Reddit Posts Search Export entry and click See Data to download or analyze the results.
The Reddit Posts Search Export automation empowers professionals to gather and analyze Reddit discussions quickly and efficiently. By offering flexible input options, scheduling, and seamless data export to Google Sheets or CSV, this tool is a must-have for marketers, growth hackers, and researchers aiming to leverage insights from one of the internet's most active communities.
