Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu
To enable TexAu to access LinkedIn posts and extract comments, you must connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu offers two methods for a secure connection:

    1. Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email for hassle-free login without cookies.
    2. Add Account: Connects via TexAu's built-in browser extension for manual setup.

Tip: Using Magic Link is the quickest and most secure method for connecting your LinkedIn account.

    step2

Step 3: Select Your Input Source
Define the LinkedIn posts you want to extract comments from. TexAu provides three options:

    1. Single Post URL: Manually enter a LinkedIn post URL to extract comments from one post.
    2. Google Sheets: Link a Google Sheet containing multiple LinkedIn post URLs, one per row.
    3. CSV File: Upload a CSV file with LinkedIn post URLs in a single column for bulk processing.

Tip: For large-scale comment extraction, use Google Sheets or CSV files for efficiency.

    step3

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
Schedule the automation to run at specific times or intervals. Click Schedule to configure the start date and time or choose a recurrence frequency:

    • None
    • At Regular Intervals (e.g., every 8 hours or daily)
    • Once
    • Every Day
    • On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Tuesday)
    • On Specific Dates (e.g., January 1)

Tip: Scheduling is ideal for recurring tasks, such as monitoring comments on new posts regularly.

    step4

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
Add delays between each comment extraction to simulate human activity and prevent LinkedIn from flagging the behavior. Configure Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay to introduce random intervals between actions.

Tip: Setting a delay of 10-30 seconds between actions reduces the risk of account suspension.

    step5

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
Decide how to save and manage the extracted data. TexAu offers three output options:

    1. Append (Default): Add new data to the existing file for cumulative tracking.
    2. Split: Generate a new file for each run to separate data by session.
    3. Overwrite: Replace previous data with the latest records for up-to-date information.

    Export options include:

    • Google Sheets: Automatically save data to a Google Sheet by linking your Google account.
    • CSV File: Download data as a CSV file for offline access.
    step6

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once you’ve configured the settings, click Run to start the automation. Choose between:

    • Cloud: Runs the automation from TexAu’s servers for hands-free execution.
    • Desktop: Runs locally on your device, using your IP address for added control.

Tip: Running the automation on Desktop mode can save cloud credits and provide better task oversight.

    step6

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the extracted comments. Locate LinkedIn Comments Scraper and click See Data to view or download the data.

    step8

The LinkedIn Comments Scraper automation allows you to analyze LinkedIn engagement effectively by extracting comments from posts. With options for Google Sheets and CSV export, configurable schedules, and customizable input sources, this tool simplifies data collection for audience insights and lead generation.
