LinkedIn Delete Post

    Tutorial

    Overview

The LinkedIn Delete Post automation allows you to automatically remove selected posts from your LinkedIn profile, helping you manage and curate your content efficiently. This tool is ideal for social media managers, marketers, and professionals looking to keep their LinkedIn profiles updated and relevant. Follow this guide to configure the automation, with options to track deleted posts in Google Sheets or CSV.

Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation

Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. In the Automation Store, use the search bar to locate LinkedIn Delete Post quickly.

    step1

Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu

To allow TexAu to access your LinkedIn profile and delete posts, connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu offers two secure connection methods:

    • Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email for easy login without handling cookies manually.
    • Add Account: Connects directly using TexAu’s built-in browser extension for streamlined setup.

Tip: Magic Link provides a secure way to connect to LinkedIn without needing to manage cookies.

    step2

Step 3: Select Your Input Source

Once LinkedIn is connected, specify the input source to identify which posts you want to delete. You can enter individual LinkedIn Post URLs or upload a list of URLs using Google Sheets or CSV.

    1. Single Post URL: For deleting a specific post, enter the LinkedIn Post URL in the input field. This option is useful if you’re focused on removing a single post.
    2. Google Sheet or CSV for Multiple Posts: For bulk deletion, use a Google Sheet or CSV file. List each LinkedIn Post URL in a separate row, then paste the Google Sheet URL or upload the CSV file in TexAu. This setup allows you to delete multiple posts in one run.

    step3

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

To manage and delete posts at regular intervals, configure the Schedule settings. Click Schedule to set the start date and time, or configure a Recurrence Frequency to automate post deletion periodically:

    • At Regular Intervals (e.g., daily or weekly)
    • Once
    • Every Day
    • On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Tuesday and Thursday)
    • On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 1st and 15th)
    • On Specific Dates (e.g., March 1)

Scheduling allows you to maintain an active profile by routinely removing outdated or irrelevant posts.

    step4

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

To avoid triggering LinkedIn’s rate limits, set an Iteration Delay to control the interval between each post deletion. Configure Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to introduce variability, simulating natural usage. Adjust the delay in seconds, minutes, or hours as needed.

    step5

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

In Output Mode, select how you want to save and organize data on the deleted posts. Export data to Google Sheets or CSV file for easy tracking and review.

    1. Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file as your output destination. Link your Google account if you select Google Sheets, allowing direct export to Google Drive.
    2. Output Management:
      • Append (Default): Adds each deleted post to the end of the existing file, creating a cumulative record of deletions.
      • Split: Each run generates a new file, helpful for tracking deletions by session.
      • Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest deletion list, ideal if you’re only interested in recent deletions.
    3. Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to automatically remove duplicate entries, ensuring data remains clean and organized.

Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets allows you to maintain a history of deleted posts for future reference or analysis.

    step6

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop

Once configurations are complete, click Run to start the automation. Choose to run on Cloud or Desktop mode:

    • Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, ideal for hands-free operation.
    • Desktop: Run locally on your device if you prefer using your IP address, which can help simulate manual usage.

Tip: Running automations on Desktop mode saves cloud runtime costs and provides more control over task execution.

    step8

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the data on deleted posts. Locate the LinkedIn Delete Post automation and click See Data to view or download the results.

    step8

The LinkedIn Delete Post automation simplifies the process of removing outdated or unwanted posts, helping social media managers and professionals keep LinkedIn profiles current and relevant. With scheduling, bulk input options, and export to Google Sheets or CSV, this tool makes content management easy and efficient.
