The LinkedIn Following Export automation allows you to extract data on profiles you’re following, capturing details such as profile names, job titles, companies, and locations. This tool is ideal for sales professionals, recruiters, and networkers who want to analyze and engage with key profiles. Follow this guide to configure the automation, with options to export data to Google Sheets or CSV for easy organization.
Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. In the Automation Store, use the search bar to locate LinkedIn Following Export quickly.
Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu
To allow TexAu to access LinkedIn and extract the profiles you’re following, connect your LinkedIn account. Click Add Account and select LinkedIn. TexAu provides two secure connection options:
- Magic Link: Sends a secure link to your email for easy login without needing to manage cookies.
- Add Account: Connects directly via TexAu’s built-in browser extension for a seamless setup.
Tip: Magic Link is a quick and secure way to connect LinkedIn without the need for manual cookie management.
Step 3: Select Your Input Source
Once LinkedIn is connected, specify the input source for the profiles you’re following. This automation does not require a list input since it directly pulls data from the profiles you follow.
- Direct Extraction: This automation directly accesses your LinkedIn account to pull data on profiles you are currently following. There’s no need to upload a list or use a URL.
Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
To capture your following data regularly, configure the Schedule settings. Click Schedule to set the start date and time, or configure a Recurrence Frequency to export data periodically:
- At Regular Intervals (e.g., daily or weekly)
- Once
- Every Day
- On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., every Tuesday and Friday)
- On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 1st and 15th)
- On Specific Dates (e.g., March 1)
Scheduling is useful if you want to track changes over time in the profiles you follow.
Step 5: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
In Output Mode, select how you want to save and manage the following data. Export data to Google Sheets or CSV file for easy tracking and review.
- Export Options: Choose Google Sheets or CSV file as your output destination. Link your Google account if you select Google Sheets, allowing for a direct export to Google Drive.
- Output Management:
- Append (Default): Adds each following export to the end of the existing file, creating a cumulative record of profiles.
- Split: Each run generates a new file, ideal for tracking data by session.
- Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest list, useful if you’re only interested in recent profiles.
- Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to automatically remove duplicate entries, ensuring organized and clean data.
Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets allows for real-time data sharing and collaboration with team members.
Step 6: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once all configurations are set, click Run to start the automation. Choose to run on Cloud or Desktop mode:
- Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, ideal for hands-free operation.
- Desktop: Run locally on your device if you prefer using your own IP address, which can help simulate manual browsing.
Tip: Running automations on Desktop mode saves cloud runtime costs and provides more control over task execution.
Step 7: Access the Data from the Data Store
After the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to access the extracted following data. Locate the LinkedIn Following Export automation and click See Data to view or download the results.
