    The Twitter Auto Mute automation allows you to automatically mute specific Twitter accounts based on predefined criteria. This tool is ideal for marketers, social media managers, and growth hackers looking to declutter timelines, avoid distractions, or refine their social media feeds for more targeted engagement. With scheduling, bulk processing, and export options, this automation streamlines the muting process.

    Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation

    Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Navigate to the Automation Store and search for Twitter Auto Mute in the search bar to locate this tool.

    Step 2: Connect to Twitter with TexAu

    To allow TexAu to mute Twitter accounts on your behalf, connect your Twitter account. Click Add Account and select Twitter. Choose one of the following secure connection methods:

    • Magic Link: Authenticate via a secure email link for seamless setup.
    • Add Account via Browser Extension: Use TexAu’s browser extension to directly link your Twitter account.

    Tip: The Magic Link method is faster and avoids manual cookie handling.

    Step 3: Select Your Input Source

    Define the Twitter accounts to mute by selecting an appropriate input source:

    1. Manual Input: Enter a single Twitter username to mute one account.
    2. Google Sheet or CSV File: For bulk processing, create a Google Sheet or CSV file with multiple Twitter usernames. Paste the sheet link or upload the file in TexAu.

    Tip: Use Google Sheets to manage and update bulk lists collaboratively for larger muting tasks.

    Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

    Use TexAu’s Schedule feature to run the automation at specific times. Click Schedule to configure the timing. Options include:

    • None: Run the automation immediately without scheduling.
    • At Regular Intervals: Automate muting at intervals like daily or weekly.
    • Once: Schedule a one-time muting session for a specific date and time.
    • Every Day: Automate daily muting for consistent feed management.
    • On Specific Days of the Week: Run the automation on certain days, such as Mondays or Fridays.
    • On Specific Days of the Month: Schedule runs for specific dates, like the 1st or 15th.
    • On Specific Dates: Automate muting on particular dates based on campaigns or events.

    Tip: Scheduling ensures that your Twitter feed stays refined and distractions are minimized consistently.

    Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

    To mimic natural behavior and avoid detection, configure an Iteration Delay. Set the Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to randomize the intervals between muting actions. Adjust the delay in seconds, minutes, or hours.

    Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

    Select how you want to save and manage the list of muted accounts. TexAu offers these options:

    1. Google Sheets: Export the muted account list directly to Google Drive for easy sharing and future reference.
    2. CSV File: Download the muted account list in CSV format for offline use.
    3. Output Management:
      • Append (Default): Add new data to an existing file for cumulative tracking.
      • Split: Create a new file for each automation run to maintain separate records.
      • Overwrite: Replace previous data with the most recent list of muted accounts.
    4. Deduplicate: Enable this option to remove duplicate entries automatically, ensuring clean and accurate records.

    Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets allows for real-time updates and team collaboration.

    Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop

    After configuring the automation, click Run to start muting Twitter accounts. Choose between:

    • Cloud Mode: Execute the automation on TexAu’s servers for a hands-free experience.
    • Desktop Mode: Run the automation locally on your device to save cloud runtime credits and use your IP address.

    Tip: Use Desktop Mode for greater control and cost efficiency, especially when working with personal accounts.

    Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

    Once the automation completes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to view or download the muted account list. Locate the Twitter Auto Mute automation and click See Data to access your results.
