Data can be exported to Google Sheets or CSV for organized tracking and analysis. Follow this comprehensive guide to set up and execute the automation.
Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Navigate to the Automation Store and search for YouTube Video Scraper. Click on the automation to open its configuration screen.
Step 2: Connect Your TexAu Account

- Magic Link: Receive a secure link via email for cookie-free login.
- Browser Extension: Use TexAu’s built-in extension to directly connect your account.
Tip: Use Magic Link for a faster and more secure setup.
Step 3: Select Your Input Source
Define the YouTube video URLs you want to scrape. TexAu provides the following input options:
- Manually Enter a Single Input: Enter a single YouTube video URL directly into the input field.
- Google Sheets: Use a Google Sheet with multiple video URLs, each in a separate row. Paste the sheet link or connect your Google account to grant access.
- CSV File: Upload a CSV file containing video URLs in a column for bulk scraping.
Tip: Use Google Sheets or CSV for managing and scraping data from multiple videos.
Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
To automate video scraping at specific times, configure the Schedule settings:
- None: Run the automation immediately.
- At Regular Intervals: Set the automation to repeat every few hours or daily.
- Once: Specify a one-time run at a particular date and time.
- Every Day: Automate scraping daily at a chosen time.

Tip: Scheduling ensures consistent and regular updates for ongoing data collection projects.
Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
To simulate natural browsing behavior and reduce detection risk, configure an Iteration Delay between scraping requests. Adjust the following:
- Minimum Delay: The shortest interval between requests.
- Maximum Delay: The longest interval to add randomness.
For example, delays between 5–10 seconds can make scraping appear more organic.
Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
Select how to save and manage the scraped video data:
- Export Options: Choose Google Sheets for real-time collaboration or CSV for offline access.
- Output Management:
- Append: Add new data to the end of an existing file.
- Split: Create a new file for every automation run.
- Overwrite: Replace previous data with the latest results.
- Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to remove duplicate entries for a cleaner dataset.
Tip: Exporting directly to Google Sheets is ideal for teams working on live datasets.
Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once all configurations are complete, click Run to start the automation. Choose between:
- Cloud: Run the automation on TexAu’s servers for a hands-free experience.
- Desktop: Run locally on your device, using your IP address to simulate manual browsing.
Tip: Running the automation in Desktop mode saves cloud runtime credits and provides more control over execution.
Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
Once the automation completes, access your results in the Data Store:
