Step 2: Connect Your TexAu Account

    1. Magic Link: Receive a secure link via email for seamless login without managing cookies.
    2. Browser Extension: Use TexAu's built-in extension to directly connect your account.

Tip: Use Magic Link for a quick and secure connection.

    step2

Step 3: Select Your Input Source

Define the YouTube videos for which you want to scrape comments. TexAu provides the following input options:

    1. Manually Enter a Single Input: Enter a single YouTube video URL directly into the input field.
    2. Google Sheets: Use a Google Sheet with multiple video URLs, one per row. Paste the sheet link or connect your Google account to grant access.
    3. CSV File: Upload a CSV file containing video URLs in a column for bulk scraping.

Tip: Use Google Sheets or CSV for efficiently managing and scraping multiple videos.

    step3

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

To automate comment scraping at specific times, configure the Schedule settings:

    • None: Run the automation immediately.
    • At Regular Intervals: Set to repeat every few hours or daily.
    • Once: Specify a one-time run at a particular date and time.
    • Every Day: Automate scraping daily at a chosen time.
    • On Specific Days of the Week: Choose specific days such as Monday or Friday.
    • On Specific Days of the Month: Select specific dates like the 1st or 15th.
    • On Specific Dates: Define exact dates for running the automation.

Tip: Scheduling ensures you consistently collect up-to-date comments for ongoing analysis.

    step4

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

To simulate natural browsing and prevent detection, configure an Iteration Delay between scraping requests. Adjust these parameters:

    • Minimum Delay: The shortest interval between requests.
    • Maximum Delay: The longest interval to introduce randomness.

For example, delays between 5–10 seconds can make scraping appear more natural.

    step5

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

Decide how to save and manage the extracted data:

    1. Export Options: Choose Google Sheets for real-time collaboration or CSV for offline access.
    2. Output Management:
      • Append: Add new data to the end of an existing file.
      • Split: Create a new file for every automation run.
      • Overwrite: Replace previous data with the latest results.
    3. Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to clean duplicate entries for a more organized dataset.

Tip: Google Sheets is ideal for live data sharing and collaboration.

    step6

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop

After configuring the settings, click Run to start the automation. Choose between:

    • Cloud: Run on TexAu’s servers for a hands-free process.
    • Desktop: Run locally on your device, using your IP address to simulate manual browsing.

Tip: Running the automation on Desktop mode saves cloud runtime credits and offers more control over execution.

    step8

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

Once the automation completes, access your results in the Data Store:

    1. Navigate to Data Store in TexAu.
    2. Locate the YouTube Video Comment Scraper automation.
    3. Click See Data to view or download the extracted comments.
