    Overview

The Google My Business Scraper automation allows you to extract key business information such as business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, and ratings directly from Google My Business (GMB) listings. This tool is perfect for marketers, sales teams, and growth hackers looking to compile lead lists, analyze competitors, or gather market insights. Data can be exported to Google Sheets or CSV for seamless organization and tracking. Follow this detailed guide to configure and run the automation.

Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation

Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Navigate to the Automation Store and search for Google My Business Scraper. Click on the automation to open its configuration screen.

Screenshot Suggestion: Display the Automation Store with "Google My Business Scraper" entered in the search bar.

Step 2: Connect to Your TexAu Account

Connect your TexAu account to enable the scraper to access GMB data. Click Add Account and select a connection method:

    1. Magic Link: Receive a secure link via email for quick, cookie-free login.
    2. Browser Extension: Use TexAu's built-in extension for a direct and straightforward setup.

Tip: Magic Link is a faster and more secure option for seamless connectivity.

Screenshot Suggestion: Show the Add Account interface, highlighting Magic Link and Browser Extension options.

Step 3: Select Your Input Source

Specify the input for the automation to define which GMB listings to scrape. TexAu provides three input options:

    1. Manually Enter a Single Input: Enter a specific GMB URL directly into the input field for focused scraping.
    2. Google Sheets: Use a Google Sheet with multiple GMB URLs, one per row. Paste the sheet link or connect your Google account to grant access.
    3. CSV File: Upload a CSV file containing GMB URLs in a column for bulk scraping.

Tip: Use Google Sheets or CSV to manage multiple listings efficiently.

Screenshot Suggestion: Show the input source selection screen, highlighting Single Input, Google Sheets, and CSV options.

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

To scrape GMB data at specific times, configure the Schedule settings:

    • None: Run the automation immediately.
    • At Regular Intervals: Set to repeat, e.g., every 6 hours or daily.
    • Once: Specify a single date and time for the run.
    • Every Day: Automate daily scraping at a chosen time.
    • On Specific Days of the Week: Select days like Monday or Thursday.
    • On Specific Days of the Month: Choose specific dates such as the 1st or 15th.
    • On Specific Dates: Define exact dates for the automation.

Tip: Scheduling ensures you always have updated business data for ongoing analysis or campaigns.

Screenshot Suggestion: Show the Schedule settings interface, highlighting the recurrence options.

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

Simulate human browsing behavior by setting an Iteration Delay between each GMB URL scrape. Configure the following:

    • Minimum Delay: Shortest time between requests.
    • Maximum Delay: Longest time to introduce randomness.

For example, set delays between 5–10 seconds to reduce the risk of detection.

Screenshot Suggestion: Include a screenshot of the Iteration Delay settings, showing Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay fields.

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

Select how to save and organize your scraped data:

    1. Export Options: Choose Google Sheets for real-time collaboration or CSV for offline access.
    2. Output Management:
      • Append: Add new results to an existing file.
      • Split: Create a new file for every automation run.
      • Overwrite: Replace existing data with the latest results.
    3. Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to remove duplicate entries for cleaner datasets.

Tip: Google Sheets is ideal for team sharing and live updates on business data.

Screenshot Suggestion: Show the Output Mode configuration, highlighting Export Options, Output Management, and Deduplicate settings.

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop

Once all configurations are complete, click Run to start the automation. Choose between:

    • Cloud: Run on TexAu’s servers for hassle-free execution.
    • Desktop: Run locally on your device, using your IP address to simulate manual activity.

Tip: Running the automation in Desktop mode can save cloud runtime credits and offer greater control over task execution.

Screenshot Suggestion: Show the Run button with options for Cloud and Desktop modes.

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

Once the automation is complete, access your results in the Data Store section:

    1. Navigate to Data Store in TexAu.
    2. Locate the Google My Business Scraper automation.
    3. Click See Data to view or download the scraped business information.

Screenshot Suggestion: Display the Data Store screen with the “See Data” button highlighted.
