Step 2: Connect to Twitter with TexAu

Connect your Twitter account to TexAu to allow access for managing retweets. Click Add Account and choose one of the following connection methods:

    1. Magic Link: A secure email link for quick login. Ideal for a straightforward setup.
    2. Cookie Method: If Magic Link isn’t suitable, copy your Twitter cookies and paste them in TexAu.

Tip: Magic Link is recommended for security and ease of use.\

    step2

Step 3: Select Your Input Source

Define the input source to specify which retweets to delete. TexAu offers the following options:

    1. Automatic Search: Let TexAu fetch all your retweets for bulk deletion.
    2. Google Sheets: Upload a Google Sheet with retweet URLs for targeted deletion.
    3. CSV File: Use a CSV file containing retweet URLs for customized cleanup.

Tip: Use Google Sheets or CSV files for more control over specific retweets to delete.\

    step3

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

Set up a schedule for automatic retweet deletion at specific times or intervals. Click Schedule and configure the frequency:

    • None: Run the automation immediately without scheduling.
    • At Regular Intervals: Repeat the task every few hours or days.
    • Once: Execute the task only once at a specific date and time.
    • Every Day: Run the automation daily.
    • On Specific Days of the Week: Choose particular weekdays for execution (e.g., Monday, Friday).
    • On Specific Dates: Schedule specific calendar dates.

Tip: Regular scheduling ensures ongoing cleanup of retweets without manual intervention.\

    step4

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

To mimic human-like activity and avoid account restrictions, set an iteration delay between actions. Configure the following:

    • Minimum Delay: The shortest interval between deleting two retweets.
    • Maximum Delay: The longest interval to add randomness to the process.

Example: Set a delay of 10–20 seconds to keep actions natural. You can configure delays in seconds, minutes, or hours.
Tip: Randomized delays reduce the risk of being flagged for automated behaviour.\

    step5

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

Select how you want the automation results to be saved and managed. Options include:

    1. Google Sheets: Export results directly to a connected Google Sheet.
    2. CSV File: Download the data as a CSV file for record-keeping.
    3. Output Management:
      • Append: Add new results to an existing file.
      • Split: Create a separate file for each automation run.
      • Overwrite: Replace existing data with the latest results.

Tip: Use Append mode to maintain a running log of deleted retweets.\

    step6

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop

Once all configurations are complete, click Run to start the automation. Choose the execution mode:

    • Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers, suitable for hands-free operation.
    • Desktop: Runs locally on your device, using your IP address and reducing cloud runtime costs.

Tip: Desktop mode is ideal if you want more control over execution.\

    step8

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

After the automation finishes, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to view or download the results. Locate the Twitter Delete Retweet automation and click See Data for access.\
