Use this tool to analyze competitors’ ad campaigns or gather inspiration for your marketing strategies. Follow the steps below to configure and run the automation, with data export options to Google Sheets or CSV for analysis.
Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Navigate to the Automation Store, and search for LinkedIn Ads Library Export to locate the automation. This tool helps you extract detailed ad campaign information from LinkedIn.
Step 2: Connect to LinkedIn with TexAu
To allow TexAu to access LinkedIn and retrieve ads data, connect your LinkedIn account:
- Click Add Account and select LinkedIn.
- Choose a connection method:
- Magic Link: A secure link is sent to your email for easy login without manually entering cookies.
- Add Account: Use the built-in browser extension for direct setup.
Tip: The Magic Link option offers a quick and secure way to connect without managing cookies manually.
Step 3: Select Your Input Source
Define the source of the ads you want to export. TexAu provides three input options:
- Enter a Single LinkedIn Ad URL: Manually input the URL of a specific LinkedIn ad.
- Google Sheets: Link a shared Google Sheet containing multiple ad URLs.
- CSV File: Upload a CSV file with ad URLs in a single column.
Tip: For bulk ad analysis, using Google Sheets or a CSV file is the most efficient method.
Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
Set up a schedule for the automation to run at specific times or intervals. Click Schedule and choose from the following options:
- None
- At Regular Intervals (e.g., every 6 hours)
- Once
- Every Day
- On Specific Days of the Week (e.g., Mondays and Thursdays)
- On Specific Days of the Month (e.g., the 1st and 15th)
- On Specific Dates (e.g., January 10)
Scheduling helps automate regular data exports, keeping your ad analysis up-to-date.
Step 5: Iteration Delay (Optional)
To simulate natural activity and avoid LinkedIn’s detection systems, set an iteration delay:
- Configure a Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay between actions.
- Choose delay intervals in seconds, minutes, hours, or days.
Tip: Setting a randomized delay range is a best practice to avoid triggering LinkedIn's anti-bot algorithms.
Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
Define how you want the extracted data to be saved and managed. TexAu offers three output options:
- Export to Google Sheets: Link your Google account for seamless export to Google Drive.
- Export to CSV File: Download the extracted data as a CSV file.
- Output Management:
- Append (Default): Add new data to the end of the existing file.
- Split: Create a new file for each automation run.
- Overwrite: Replace old data with new data from the current run.
Tip: Use Google Sheets for real-time collaboration and analysis.
Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once the setup is complete, click Run to start the automation. Select from:
- Cloud: Runs the automation on TexAu servers for hands-free operation.
- Desktop: Runs locally on your device using your IP address, ideal for tasks requiring local execution.
Tip: Running the automation on Desktop mode reduces cloud runtime costs and offers greater control.
Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
After the automation completes, retrieve your exported data:
- Go to the Data Store in TexAu.
- Locate the LinkedIn Ads Library Export automation.
- Click See Data to view or download the extracted information.
