The Twitter Followers/Following Export automation helps you extract detailed information about followers or followings of specific Twitter profiles, including names, handles, bio, follower count, and more. Ideal for marketers, researchers, and growth hackers, this tool enables audience analysis and competitor research. Export data to Google Sheets or CSV for efficient tracking and collaboration. Follow this guide to set up and run the automation.

Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation

Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Navigate to the Automation Store and search for Twitter Followers/Following Export. Click on the automation to open its configuration screen.

Step 2: Connect Your Twitter Account

Connect your Twitter account to TexAu. Follow these steps:

1. Click Add Account on the configuration page and select Twitter from the available platforms.
2. Choose one of the following methods to connect your account:
   • Magic Link: TexAu will send a secure link to your email for seamless login without handling cookies.
   • Cookie Authentication: Copy and paste your Twitter browser cookies into the designated field.

Tip: Use Magic Link for a fast and secure setup, avoiding the need for manual cookie management.

Step 3: Select Your Input Source

Define the Twitter profiles whose followers or followings you want to scrape. TexAu provides the following input options:

1. Manually Enter a Single Input: Enter a single Twitter profile URL directly into the input field.
2. Google Sheets: Use a Google Sheet with multiple profile URLs, each in a separate row. Paste the sheet link or connect your Google account to grant access.
3. CSV File: Upload a CSV file containing Twitter profile URLs in a column for bulk processing.

Tip: Use Google Sheets or CSV to efficiently manage and scrape data from multiple profiles.

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

To automate follower/following extraction at specific times, configure the Schedule settings:

• None: Run the automation immediately.
• At Regular Intervals: Set to repeat every few hours or daily.
• Once: Specify a one-time run at a particular date and time.
• Every Day: Automate scraping daily at a chosen time.
• On Specific Days of the Week: Choose specific days like Monday or Friday.
• On Specific Days of the Month: Select specific dates like the 1st or 15th.
• On Specific Dates: Define exact dates for the automation.

Tip: Scheduling ensures regular updates for ongoing data collection projects like lead generation or competitor analysis.

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

To simulate natural browsing behavior and reduce detection risk, configure an Iteration Delay between scraping requests. Adjust these parameters:

• Minimum Delay: The shortest interval between requests.
• Maximum Delay: The longest interval to introduce randomness.

For example, delays between 5–10 seconds can make scraping appear more organic.

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

Select how to save and manage the exported follower/following data:

1. Export Options: Choose Google Sheets for real-time collaboration or CSV for offline access.
2. Output Management:
   • Append: Add new data to the end of an existing file.
   • Split: Create a new file for every automation run.
   • Overwrite: Replace previous data with the latest results.
3. Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate to remove duplicate entries for a cleaner dataset.

Tip: Exporting directly to Google Sheets is ideal for live collaboration on scraped profile data.

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop

Once all configurations are complete, click Run to start the automation. Choose between:

• Cloud: Run the automation on TexAu’s servers for a hands-free experience.
• Desktop: Run locally on your device, using your IP address to simulate manual browsing.

Tip: Running the automation in Desktop mode saves cloud runtime credits and provides more control over execution.

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

Once the automation completes, access your results in the Data Store:

1. Navigate to Data Store in TexAu.
2. Locate the Twitter Followers/Following Export automation.
3. Click See Data to view or download the scraped follower/following details.
