Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation
Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Navigate to the Automation Store and type Twitter Poll Creator in the search bar to locate the automation. This tool allows you to create polls with customizable questions, options, and durations in bulk.
Step 2: Connect to Twitter with TexAu
Before creating polls, you must connect your Twitter account to TexAu. Follow these steps to establish the connection:
- Click Add Account: Open the Linked Accounts section and select Twitter.
- Choose a Connection Method: TexAu offers two secure methods:
- Built-in Authentication: Log in directly through TexAu’s interface.
- Secure Credentials: Enter your Twitter login credentials for seamless integration.

- Manually Enter a Single Poll: Use this option for creating one poll. Enter the poll question, options (up to four), and poll duration directly into the input fields.
- Google Sheets: Ideal for bulk poll creation. Create a Google Sheet with the following columns:
- Poll Question
- Option 1, Option 2, Option 3, Option 4
- Duration (in days and hours)
Paste the sheet’s public URL into TexAu to fetch the data.
- CSV File: Use a CSV file with similar columns to Google Sheets for offline data management. Upload the file in TexAu for processing.
Tip: Use Google Sheets or CSV for managing multiple polls at scale, making it easy to plan and organize your campaigns.
Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)
To post polls at specific times, configure the scheduling settings:
- Click Schedule and set the start date and time for the automation.
- Choose a Recurrence Frequency to determine how often polls are posted:
- None: Run the automation once immediately.
- At Regular Intervals: Specify the time gap (e.g., every 6 hours).
- Once: Schedule the automation for a single run.
- Every Day: Repeat the automation daily.
- On Specific Days of the Week: Choose specific days (e.g., Monday and Thursday).
- On Specific Days of the Month: Schedule runs on dates like the 1st or 15th.
- On Specific Dates: Select specific calendar dates (e.g., December 25).
Regular scheduling ensures your polls are posted consistently to maximize audience engagement.
Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)
To avoid posting polls too quickly and to mimic natural behavior, configure an Iteration Delay:
- Set the Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values. TexAu will post polls at random intervals between these two times.
- Choose the time unit: seconds, minutes, or hours.
This feature helps prevent Twitter from flagging your account for unusual activity by spacing out actions.
Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)
Select how TexAu saves data from the automation:
- Export Options:
- Google Sheets: Directly link a Google account to save poll details in a live document for collaboration.
- CSV File: Save poll data locally for offline tracking.
- Output Management Options:
- Append: Add new data to the existing file.
- Split: Save each automation run as a separate file.
- Overwrite: Replace the previous file with new data.
- Deduplicate: Enable this option to automatically remove duplicate entries in the output file.

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop
Once all configurations are complete, run the automation:
- Click the Run button.
- Choose the execution mode:

- Desktop Mode: Run the automation on your local device, using your IP address to simulate manual poll creation and save cloud runtime costs.

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store
After the automation completes, view the results in TexAu’s Data Store:
Navigate to the Data Store section in the app.

Click See Data to view or download the records, including poll questions, options, durations, and timestamps.
