Step 1: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation

Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Navigate to the Automation Store and search for Twitter Tweet Scraper in the search bar to locate the automation tool.

Step 2: Connect to Twitter with TexAu

To enable TexAu to scrape tweets, you need to connect your Twitter account. Click Add Account and select Twitter. TexAu provides secure methods for account integration:

• Add Account via Browser Extension: Use TexAu’s extension to link your account seamlessly.

Step 3: Select Your Input Source

Define the input source to specify the tweets you want to scrape. TexAu provides the following options:

1. Keyword or Hashtag Search: Enter a keyword or hashtag to scrape tweets containing that specific term. This is useful for tracking trending topics or brand mentions.
2. Twitter Handles: Use a list of Twitter handles to scrape tweets from specific accounts.
3. Google Sheet or CSV: For bulk scraping, prepare a Google Sheet or CSV with search terms, hashtags, or Twitter handles. Link the sheet by pasting its URL or uploading the CSV file.

Tip: Google Sheets is ideal for collaborating with your team to manage a list of hashtags or accounts.

Step 4: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

Use the Schedule feature to run the automation at specific times. Scheduling ensures consistent and regular scraping without manual intervention. Click Schedule to configure your desired schedule. You can set:

• None: Run the automation immediately without scheduling.
• At Regular Intervals: Run the automation every few hours, days, or at other intervals.
• Once: Run the automation only at a specific date and time.
• Every Day: Automate daily tweet scraping for regular updates.
• On Specific Days of the Week: Select certain days (e.g., Mondays and Thursdays) to run the automation.
• On Specific Days of the Month: Run the automation on particular dates, such as the 1st or 15th of the month.
• On Specific Dates: Schedule scraping for specific dates like holidays or campaign launches.

Tip: Use recurring schedules to monitor ongoing trends and gather fresh data regularly.

Step 5: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

To simulate natural behavior and prevent Twitter from flagging your activity, set an Iteration Delay. Adjust the Minimum Delay and Maximum Delay values to add a randomized interval between actions. You can set the delay in seconds, minutes, or hours.

Step 6: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

Select how you want to save and manage the scraped tweets. TexAu provides multiple output options:

1. Google Sheets: Link your Google account for automatic export to Google Drive.
2. CSV File: Download the scraped data in a CSV format for offline analysis.
3. Output Management:
   • Append (Default): Add new records to the end of an existing file.
   • Split: Create a new file for each automation run.
   • Overwrite: Replace the existing file with the latest data.
4. Deduplicate: Enable this to automatically remove duplicate entries and keep your data clean.

Tip: Exporting to Google Sheets is perfect for real-time collaboration and analysis.

Step 7: Run the Automation on Cloud or Desktop

After configuring the automation, click Run to start scraping tweets. Choose one of the following execution methods:

• Cloud Mode: Runs the automation on TexAu’s servers for hands-free execution.
• Desktop Mode: Runs the automation locally on your device, ideal if you prefer to use your IP address.

Tip: Use Desktop Mode to save cloud runtime credits while retaining control over task execution.

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

Once the automation is complete, go to the Data Store section in TexAu to view or download the scraped tweets. Locate the Twitter Tweet Scraper automation and click See Data to access your results.
